What it is, in plain language
Surface lots cannot rely on ceiling-mounted infrastructure. Our Outdoor PGS utilizes ruggedised, battery-operated, wireless sensors embedded directly into the asphalt. These sensors communicate via a local mesh network or LoRaWAN to a central gateway, updating master signage at the lot entrances.

Technical architecture
The in-ground sensors use a magnetometer to detect large metallic masses (vehicles) passing over them, often supplemented by an optical infrared sensor to prevent false positives from debris. Data is transmitted wirelessly to a gateway, eliminating the need for extensive trenching and cabling across the lot.
