Parking Intelligence

Entry/Exit Counter System

Zonal and facility-level occupancy tracking without the need for individual bay sensors.

Overview

What it is, in plain language

For facilities where bay-by-bay sensing is economically unviable or structurally impossible, the Entry/Exit Counter provides highly accurate zonal control. By monitoring vehicles passing through specific chokepoints, the system calculates exact availability per level or zone and displays it on matrix signs.

How it works

Technical architecture

Uses sequential activation logic. For example, two loop detectors are placed in sequence at a ramp. If Loop A activates then Loop B, a vehicle is entering. If Loop B activates then Loop A, a vehicle is exiting. The central controller aggregates these directional counts to maintain a live running total of vehicles in the zone.

Outcomes

Why customers choose this system

The measurable operational and customer-experience improvements you can expect after deployment.

Cost-effective alternative to full PGS
Ideal for rooftop open parking zones
Prevents cars from entering fully occupied levels
Provides reliable macro-level utilization data
